Things could get wild. “This national effort shall pursue development of a quantum computer at a scale intended to initiate the era of quantum-enabled scientific discovery, with the intent to deliver at least one such computer to a Department of Energy facility and, to the extent possible, make it available to the scientific community.” Didn’t DOE get one of the google quantums a few years ago?

- ricovigil1 4mo agoBig news. I wish this was done sooner; however, this will enable a whole new capability especially by developing a pipeline that allows for such innovation to occur. Quantum computing silently drifted. It’s exciting to see the progress being made and how the world could look in the next couple of decades.
