If we recall our history, it was the US/UK going into Iran to seize the oil that resulted in the revolution. Doing that again doesn't seem like the best strategy. At this point, Trump is under pressure to get some "deal" done and whatever it is can be sold to his base as a win, the rest of America and the World be damned.
