- grey-area 4mo agoLatin was commonly spoken amongst the educated at one time (served as a lingua franca across Europe) and used for religion and scientific discourse for even longer.
- gpvos 4mo agoThat depends on when and how they entered English. A lot of scientific vocab was taken directly from Latin and Greek.
