Outside I sometimes have headphones on without music, just so people do not approach me ..
But with your wife, doesn't eye contact work as communicating need for talk? Body language?
- collinmcnulty 4mo agoSometimes I’m washing dishes and she walks into the room and doesn’t immediately know if there’s sound in my ears. It’d just be a nice little affordance to be able to proactively signal that.
