Maybe Windows 2000 was faster than XP, but I'm pretty sure the old and new UIs in Windows XP didn't have any speed difference. It was just different cosmetics.

- nosioptar 4mo agoThe classic UI was absolutely faster. I could always notice a speedup by switching to it on low powered machines.
