Show HN: A spreadsheet where your code never reads B7
Hi HN,
I'm building LogiSheets, a spreadsheet that adds structure directly into the grid. The idea is that many spreadsheet failures—both human and software—come from the same problem: everything is addressed by position instead of identity.
I'd especially love feedback on whether this solves a real problem, or if existing tools already solve it well. The article includes a Factory Simulator demo built on top of the model.
- gus_massa 4mo agoExcel and Google Sheets also has named ranges, but I never use them. I guess 99.99% never use them. When I click the "Factory Simulator demo" I get an empty sheet and I have to go to the top right to load the example. This is explained in the instructions, but I never read the instructions. Is it possible to link directly to a version that loads the example?

I think it is possible and I am going to work on it! > Excel and Google Sheets also has named ranges, but I never use them. I guess 99.99% never use them. Yes named ranges or tables do ease some pain but they are not enough. That's why users move to database based softwares. I am not sure LogiSheets provides sufficient facilities to keep users in the spreadsheet though
