But the meaning seems to have drifted to (Western) supporters of the current Russian regime.
- poisonwomb 4mo agoUkraine attacked the Kremlin with drones and may have attacked Putin’s personal residence last year (both sides say contradictory things, both sides have every incentive to lie). UK is one of the biggest Ukraine boosters. To pretend there’s not a through line here is absurd

- Arodex 4mo agoRussia is at war with Ukraine. Is Russia officially at war with the UK? If so, say it openly, so that we stop dancing around and send troops directly.

- Natfan 4mo agowell one of the leaders of state started the first ground war in Europe in decades, and the other has not. so to me, if this was flipped, it would be more justified (or rather, slightly less unjustified (all violence is bad))

- jwlit 4mo agoPretty interesting (if not particularly surprising) the promotion of inter-community hatred as well. "two Bristol graffiti artists... were asked to spray-paint the Islamic shahada - the declaration of faith - in Arabic on a defunct Debenhams in the city centre. One was also asked to spray a Quranic verse about the "devil's handiwork" on a Conservative Club in the city." "... provided Roman Lavrynovych [low-level criminal] with an anti-Muslim poster, designed to appear like it had been written by a Hindu by referencing the 1992 destruction of an ancient Indian mosque by right-wing Hindu groups.
