Perhaps, but - talk to someone who's done PR work for startups. Ask them what it would take for an Israeli startup working on, say, home bagel-making machines to get the sort of world-wide media attention that any Israeli creep-tech firm can get - for free - by association with a few nefarious deeds.

- dang 4mo agoI replied to the other user before I replied to you. You both broke the rules, and we end up banning accounts that won't stop doing that, regardless of which side of which issue they are on.
- gatlin 4mo agoI have no influence on what choices you make or in particular whom you choose to ban. This conversation thread is old so of course I won't be stoking it anymore. In the future, though, if I am banned it will not be because I correctly discerned malice and called it out; but rather because someone in power wants to pretend one can be neutral on this topic. Sincerely, have a beautiful day.
- dang 4mo agoThat last swipe was religious flamebait and that is not allowed on HN, so please edit it (and anything like it) out of your posts here. https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html Edit: this is excessive and abusive: https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=true&query=by%3Aspwa4%20muslim&sort=byDate&type=comment https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=true&que.... HN is no place for conducting religious battle. Please do no more of this here. (And yes, in case that is wondering, this applies equally regardless of which religion and who is doing it.)
