- rvz 4mo agoOpus 4.8 is still available to everyone, and the export ban applied specifically to their new Fable / Mythos models. But nice try though. This sort of attention is exactly what they would to showcase the powerful capabilities of their latest models.
- SXX 4mo agoExcept in one week or a month new Chinese models gonna be released thats might just be better or much cheaper than Opus 4.8.

- ahtihn 4mo agoServing Opus 4.8 isn't worth a trillion+ valuation. The valuation of the AI labs is based on continual improvements of their models. Open weight models are going to catch up to Opus 4.8 and at that point the model is a pure commodity.
