Trump's $100k H-1B visa fee is unlawful, US judge rules
- throfktjj 4mo agoTurkey sells citizenship for like $200000. US should do something similar, to keep level playing field.
- himata4113 4mo agoThis is H-1B, not the golden visa ($1 000 000).
- like_any_other 4mo agoWith how many entry-level positions go to H-1Bs, and with how the average H-1B salary is below market-level (you'd think it would be significantly above, given that they allegedly could not find anyone able to do the job in the entire US) [1], calling them "visas for highly skilled foreign workers" without any qualification is effectively misinformation. Where is one of those disinformation watchdogs to mark the article as "missing context", and give Reuters reduced social media reach because of it? - not_your_vase 4mo agoThat's weird... that was one of the very few of his initiatives that had bipartisan support... pretty much everyone was happy with this, except for the employers.
- Brybry 4mo agoIt's good because the legal system isn't supposed to be about sentiment or politics. If it has bipartisan support then it should be easy for congress to do its job and pass it as a law. And it should be easy for the President to ask them to do so.
