Aren't vinyls typically pressed, not carved from a blank? I wonder how accurate they can actually get if they have to carve every notch into the groove.

- dale_glass 4mo agoYou need to carve the master to have something to press from.
- Flipflip79 4mo agoThe original master is cut. Only subsequent copies are pressed. This is the standard way records are made
- hudo 4mo agoMaster is carved (cutted), and then reverse master pressed, from which all the records are then pressed, if i remember correctly.
