How to stop Wordpress comments spam
- vincehofmeister 14y agoInstalling and using the Disqus (http://disqus.com/ http://disqus.com/) plugin located here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/disqus-comment-system/ http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/disqus-comment-system/ helped a lot on my blog. Additionally you can use the reCaptcha plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-recaptcha/ http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-recaptcha/. Both require you to signup on their respective sites for an API key. Both should help tremendously.
- smartial_arts 14y agoI was considering disqus as a comments engine but one of the major drawbacks was that it's not search-engine indexable. Also, asking users to enter captcha degrades the experience significantly, so I decided not to do that either.
