- nephihaha 4mo agoThe point is that attrition takes a long time and a lot of effort. It doesn't happen overnight, as the media has been claiming about this war for years now. Afghanistan was fought by the USSR rather than just Russia. Quite a few Ukrainian soldiers ended up there ironically.
- Arnt 4mo ago"The point is" … that? I thought your point would have something to do with a necessity for compromise. "War of attrition" → "compromise". I don't see that, AFAICT few wars of attrition lead to a compromise. And, BTW, the newspapers I read didn't write "overnight". Did yours — really?
