Techically, the OS should be able to isolate an application -- stop it being modified, and put it into 'Groundhog day' mode (at midnight, the date seen by the application rolls back to the previous day). This would 'keep' Office for Mac, won't it? The only loss would be the smart tag and functions that insert or refer to the current date in Word or Excel documents.
