Why does releasing infertile males prevent the fertile males from reproducing? Are mosquitoes pair-bonding??
- grumbelbart2 5mo agoAnd also since they don't bite, they won't compete for the same resources / food.
- pzo 4mo agoI had the same question when reading website - really poorly explained. Not sure why they also advertise that those genetically modified males are non biting and harmless - all males mosquitos are like that.
- quacker 4mo agoIt is because female mosquitos only mate once in their lifetime.
