- ThePowerOfFuet 5mo agoScaring off a shitton of researchers was a better idea?
- lefrenchy 5mo agoI think Macron is incredibly smart to be investing in STEM in France. There are plenty of very intelligent and successful French people in the US who are very unhappy with the direction of the US, attracting that talent home will serve them well.

- anomaly_ 5mo agoI'm sure all of them will move back to earn 60k euros instead of us$400k+
- tweepy 5mo agoYou do get to live quite nicely with 60k€ in France, with median being 22k€.
- jfengel 5mo agoGiven that it includes health care, education, and a ton of vacation, yeah, they will find that they lead a much better life. The goal isn't to maximize the number. The goal is to lead a good life. The number can help with that, but not if you focus on it to the exclusion of the things that matter.
- mytailorisrich 5mo agoThe thing is that he is not investing in STEM, or anything else for that matter. This is politics and grand speeches.
- ImJamal 5mo agoThe article is quite vague and only provides one tangible reason to choose France (nuclear power). Are there any other good reasons to choose France over other EU countries?
- Glawen 5mo agoReliable and cheap abundant electricity, big and strong cohort of STEM graduates, strongest army and arms industry in EU, worldwide influence culturally and diplomatically. More door will open when you to have the French Président by your side than any other EU country.
