- frisco 14y agoHow would that work? Bitcoin doesn't really provide an identity.
- hxc 14y agoYup. Bitcoin is meant to be anonymous.
- frisco 14y agoThis is a common misconception. Bitcoin isn't anonymous, but there isn't really a way to use your addresses as an "identity" easily, either. Sure you could use a Bitcoin address as the keypair it is to authenticate yourself, but that seems like an odd way to sign up for a service.
- celticninja 14y agono it is not, its decentralized nature does lend itself to anonymity however.
- alexbosworth 14y agoI've seen it work on a few sites, like AnonymousAds, but yeah it's not a 1:1 mapping
- bnr 14y agoYou could create a login-token signed with your bitcoin private key. Wallet software would have to implement that, though.
