  Yes. The difference is now the money is coming from you rather than selling your data. Which is what you want. Of course, they could still sell your data anyway. That's why it's important to pay attention to their T&C.

    The only real way to opt out is to not use 'the product'. I miss the days where 'the product' is only what we got, and not being the victim of an executives stalking campaign.
