Words of Type
- nine_k 4mo agoI love the slightly whimsical design of the site, clear as a children's book, or as a technical drafting.
- alwinaugustin 4mo agointeresting.
- navigate8310 4mo agoEven though it feels vibed, the information packed is very interesting
- ashm1104 4mo agoDamn, I was on the site for good 5 mins, is my attention span healing? Great info btw
- riffraff 4mo agosome of those seem like only very vaguely related to types (binding, EULA). Maybe the author just asked some LLM to provide more filler. But other than that, this is quite nice.
- mulhoon 4mo agoLovely. Great attention to detail and a brilliant resource for students.
- pixlmint 4mo agoI absolutely love the design! Thanks for sharing
- NackerHughes 4mo agoThis is vibecoded. How are we supposed to believe that any of the descriptions aren't hallucinated?
- tobr 4mo agoI’m not affiliated with the site in any way, but it does not strike me at all as vibe coded. If you dig even just a little you can see that it is credited to studios and individuals who have their own separate web presence. And in fact, their manifesto explicitly rejects using AI even for translation because of quality concerns. So please offer the evidence that allows you to confidently dismiss it as vibe coded.
- TheCrimsonSails 4mo agoVery attractive art style and details. I found it nice that some of them have references as well!
- manithree 4mo agoThis is the kind of advertising I can appreciate. Useful, even some uncommon information showcasing purchasable products. I'd never buy a font advertised here (I've never needed a font that wasn't free bad enough to pay money for one), but it's pull, not push, so kudos.
- EvanAnderson 4mo agoPretty nice. I been a type aficionado since I was a kid. I loved taking elective typography in college, though my capstone typeface sucked pretty bad. I was surprised not to see the word "stress" in there.
