Show HN: A free Linux adaptation of NETworkManager by BornToBeRoot
- magetriste 4mo agoThe project is called NMLinux. The title refers to NETworkManager by BornToBeRoot (https://github.com/BornToBeRoot/NETworkManager https://github.com/BornToBeRoot/NETworkManager), a Windows GUI tool for network diagnostics that I wanted on Linux. NMLinux has nothing to do with the Linux NetworkManager daemon (/usr/bin/NetworkManager). Built with Python 3 + PySide6 (Qt6). 23 tools in one GUI: IP Scanner, SSH terminal, VNC, RDP, Traceroute map, MTR, Nmap, Firewall viewer, and more. Available on AUR. https://github.com/thongor77/nmlinux https://github.com/thongor77/nmlinux — release 1.2.9
- mzmzmzm 4mo agoThanks from an Arch user for also putting it on the user repository
- magetriste 4mo agoI'm on Endeavour, can't forget Arch User
- itomato 4mo agoOh wow, thinking about using Python in the GUI for network management makes me recall WiFi Radar and what it was like relying on Python inside Xorg for my network connection setup. I respect the effort.
