Sure; if consumers start buying lots of Nexus phones, presumably they're doing so in lieu of buying the flavor-of-the-month phones from Samsung, HTC, Sony, LG, etc. And that's an incentive for those manufacturers to rethink their phone strategy, and figure out how to improve their lineup to cater to the type of people who purchase Nexus handsets.
