— emdashes all over this article
- Jtsummers 5mo ago> — emdashes all over this article They're used 4 times (6 instances of an em dash, but it's two uses of a single em dash and two uses with paired em dashes) in the article over 16 paragraphs. That's not really "all over" unless 4 is a big number for you. What's with these kind of comments, any one who reads the article could tell that what you wrote is nonsense so why make up bullshit like this?
- saltyoldman 5mo agoAn article against AI but is written by AI.
- Jtsummers 5mo agoAgain, your original claim is demonstrably false. 6 em dashes, 4 uses, in a 16 paragraph article is not "all over the place". Why make up bullshit like this?
- saltyoldman 5mo agoIt's a lot. I'm not lying. Stop accusing me of lying.
- Tomte 5mo agoThe NYT has always used the em dash. This is a style article about it, from 2019, long before ChatGPT: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/08/14/style/em-dash-punctuation.html https://www.nytimes.com/2019/08/14/style/em-dash-punctuation...
- Jtsummers 5mo agoI'm aware, I'm just trying to get OP to explain why they're lying, though. 6 em dashes over the course of this article is not a lot of em dashes. It's a bullshit claim and they know it, so what's the point of making it?
