- tomhow 4mo agoThe second sentence of your comment is about as vile a comment as we ever see here. HN is not the place for making sweeping condemnations of “The West”. For one thing, it's dozens of countries, many of whom disagree with each other. And we would never tolerate an HN user making such a comment against China or any other country. You of course can discuss issues between governments and corporations like anything else here but the guidelines are very clear that commenting like that on HN is completely unacceptable. HN is for people who hold themselves to higher standards than this.
- nshung 4mo agoI agree that it’s dozen of countries but they all operate under the same “power umbrella”. Arresting Huawei CFO by Canada. Banning ASML exports to Huawei by Netherlands. All by the requests of the USA which again is 100% controlled by Israel. I am simply stating the truth here despite the profanity of the language which I think you raised a fair point.
- tomhow 4mo agoWe don’t mind profanity per se, but that kind of demeaning, abusive language about anyone is unacceptable here, as is ideological/political battle. It’s doesn’t matter how right you feel you are.
