Furthermore, the effect depends on the brain area you target and the frequency of the stimulus. If you can't aim precisely, you won't get the expected results. For precise aiming, you need to coregister your stimulator with an MRI of your brain.
- noonespecial 18y agoMost MRI's are 3 teslas. Some are up to 7. The chance of seizure or permanent brain damage from this little machine is greatest from nearby paper clips.
- Daniel_Newby 18y agoThe main magnet in MRI scanners produces a steady field. TMS machines use a rapidly changing magnetic field that induces significant electric currents in the brain, so they can potentially cause problems.
