Yes but persecution of children is usually a good turning point where people start caring about the politics. According to my father, hardly anyone gave a shit about the stasi in east Germany until they started breaking families up. I imagine the same is true here, although I do worry about the corporate control of media world-wide and its ability to be paid to shill and keep quiet.
