People used to treat angry-student politics and the views of the noisiest, angriest students with the correct amount of derision.
That stopped ( as seen here ).
And, worse, social media has let those angry students drive debate, which has led to the rise of the hateful woke.
And, still worse, students are no longer being educated to be critical but to accept one side and hate the other.
- LtWorf 5mo agoAnd you draw all these conclusions from a 1 minute clip? Could it be that you are letting your own bias influence you?
- damnitbuilds 5mo agoNo, I draw it from decades of living life and reading the news. I remember my college days, when the loony left ran the politics of the place, because normal people were uninterested, beyond having a good laugh at their right-on craziness, that achieved precisely nothing. Now social media puts their immature views front and center in our politics and their opinions are dragged ever further to the crazy left by professors who are not interested in being - or are even paid to be - unbiased in their teaching.
- LtWorf 5mo agoI've always been against dismissive responses like "ok boomer", but you are really pushing it. First of all you should say when your days were. Secondly I'm italian so whenever they were, that means absolutely nothing to me. Third, all of this is completely OT.
- damnitbuilds 5mo ago"Secondly I'm italian so whenever they were, that means absolutely nothing to me." Oh yes, silly us, we forgot this entire discussion was about you.
- LtWorf 5mo agoThanks for addressing none of my questions and thus proving that you are just a sour old person.
