Is China using fentanyl as a weapon against the United States?
- alephnerd 5mo ago[flagged]
- bigyabai 5mo ago> Similar threat actors have been active on HN for sometime as well now ...dealing fentanyl?
- alephnerd 5mo agoSame threat actors associated with the same regional intel organization offices. Certain but plenty of countries conduct these operations in a subnational and public-private manner, but a certain nuclear power has done so intimately to degree that most others didn't. Also the fact that you reply to me on multiple occasions within 5 minutes is intruiging, as it is drastically anomalous. Khayr, you aren't the only account like that.

- BoredPositron 5mo agoIt's wild. Accounts drop genuinely insightful takes on niche threads and submit a lot of interesting topics, you barely register them, then one random thread reveals they're absolutely batshit crazy. That's why I still love the web.

- unmole 5mo ago> Accounts drop genuinely insightful takes on niche threads I thought the same about this account until I read multiple completely wrong takes on topics I actually know well and realised they were just making up plausible sounding nonsense. After that, I started disregarding or outright ignoring their comments altogether. Almost like the of reverse Gell-Mann amnesia. > one random thread reveals they're absolutely batshit crazy I still can't tell whether this is continued LARPing or a genuinely tenuous grasp on reality.
- bigyabai 5mo agoIf you have more information, don't just vaguely suggest it. I'm genuinely asking you for more details, it's a strange claim to make.
- greenavocado 5mo ago> documented history of my college classmates whose parents not afford their tuition on their civil servant salaries helps What?
- exabrial 5mo agoI'm so confused as well

- throw875 5mo agoThey have never forgotten opium wars
- d1l 5mo agoDidn’t know the sackler family was Chinese.
- rekttrader 5mo agoGreat reference there…
- Bender 5mo agoThe primary flows of fent into the USA are from Mexico and China [1]. India is emerging as a source for finished fentanyl powder and fentanyl precursor chemicals. - rekttrader 5mo agoAfghanistan didn’t have poppy production till it was allowed by the Bush administration. Their primary exports were food stuffs but it was easy to spoil the Iranians and Russians with cheap drugs that ruin society. This was patterned after the british opium wars but done at a funky scale. Now our chickens have come to roost now that pill based pain medication has gotten so hard… life finds a way.
- genxy 5mo agoAmerica's biggest export is blowback. Our search tree doesn't go that deep.
- like_any_other 5mo agoSo to answer the title question: "Yes, but you should feel guilty anyway."
