We have movements to give legal rights to dolphins because they are cute, but we don't have such movements for chimpanzees or parrots because their human-like behavior is inside our uncanny valley. So probably we will have movements to give legal rights for toys and chatbots with AI and no such movements for medical or scientific AI's.
