- AnimalMuppet 5mo agoMy second. Most of the time it's fine, but... today it hit me. I don't have a mother anymore. So, yeah. Call while you can.
- highwaylights 5mo agoComing up on 3 years here. I felt this. Can also confirm this is based advice.

- thenipper 5mo agoSame here. I’m sorry for your loss and may her memory be a blessing. If you need someone to talk to I’m here.
- Beestie 5mo agoit gets easier but not by much. I wouldn't have it any other way. Been 15 years and I don't want to ever forget. My Mom is showing your Mom around and they are trading stories of what brats we were :-)
- kstrauser 5mo agoSo, I have showdead on, and someone replied to me with a Reddit joke (that actually made me laugh). What really got me was the header for that: username 2 hours ago [dead] | parent “Hey Dad, why are you cackling?” “I‘ll… explain later.”
- andyjohnson0 5mo agoTwenty nine long years for me. Mother's day is on a different date where I live, but every time it gets me. And on many of the days in-between too. Take care everyone, and give your mother a hug if you can.
- swat535 5mo agoI lost mine 6 years ago. I regret not spending more time with her. I wasted time on the computer instead to get "work" done. Don't be like me.
- AlexeyBelov 5mo agoI don't know about this advice. However much time you spend with your loved ones isn't ever going to be enough. There will always be regret and "I wish I had more".
- croon 5mo agoComing up on 20 years here, and what I'll say is it gets easier, but increasingly sad is that the specific memories fade and only the more general memories remain. It pains me that she never got to meet her grand kids, and vice versa.
- kstrauser 5mo agoI’ve been through that with my dad. He’d love knowing his grandkids. They’re funny in exactly the way that he’d find hilarious. Parents are meant to be immortal, dammit.
