The video is a link to a news clip from TV.
HN Guidelines:
> Off-Topic: Most stories about politics, or crime, or sports, or celebrities, unless they're evidence of some interesting new phenomenon. If they'd cover it on TV news, it's probably off-topic.
I decided to watch a little of it and stopped after this money-quote:
"Instead of making it easier to build more homes, they're going after people who already own them."
Taxation is not a new phenomenon.
Side-note:
I don't care about labels and I don't fall for the fallacy of who is delivering information (as long as the information is true), but I do have a problem with people deciding how they should spend my money.
This is probably too much off-topic politics.
- SilverElfin 5mo ago> unless they're evidence of some interesting new phenomenon Extra taxation of second homes is an interesting new phenomenon, right? Whether it is in an article form or a video form is largely not relevant in my opinion.
- rationalist 5mo agoI made an edit probably as you were writing your reply: Taxation is not a new phenomenon.
