Most Meta employees do not support invasive features without opt outs in their products. Some try to argue against it. But ultimately there is only person who gets to decide.
You might as well blame the entire US population for certain problematic actions of the president.
- reshlo 5mo agoGetting another job when you have Meta on your CV is a lot easier than moving to another country.

- Sh0000reZ 5mo agoWhat? I thought this forum was all about technical correctness. It's technically correct you all have no assurances your assets continue to hold value and you won't end up homeless. Lol Censorship of truth!
- xigoi 5mo agoBeing a USA citizen is often not a choice. Being a Metaslop employee is a choice.
- Conscat 5mo agoThat feels reductive. It's actionable to get OCI, renounce US citizenship, and become Indian after a decade. It's just not very practical for most people. I know many people who don't work their dream job, but switching to a favorable company isn't currently practical for them.
- gloxkiqcza 5mo ago> You might as well blame the entire US population for certain problematic actions of the president You actively decide to work for Meta which has been known to dishonestly violate privacy since basically day one [1]. Most US citizens were passively born as one. It’s also much easier to leave a company than to move out of USA. - bjohnson225 5mo ago> You might as well blame the entire US population for certain problematic actions of the president. The equivalent would be blaming those who chose the current president. Which would be an entirely reasonable thing to do.
- sbochins 5mo agoBy that logic, you should blame the people that use meta’s products.
- renegade-otter 5mo agoI DO make fun of people who use Instagram for "news".

- thrance 5mo agoThe infamous "Nuremberg defense". Meta employee chose to work there. Each day, they choose to keep working there. With Meta on their resume, they could find work pretty much anywhere else. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superior_orders https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superior_orders
