Who else remembers the RAM crisis that killed the uptake of OS/2 ?
- pjmlp 5mo agoNot sure if it was the RAM crisis, or the general hardware cost of 1990 hardware, but I got a PC 386SX with 2MB and a 20 MB HDD, with DR-DOS 5 and Windows 3.1, on credit. I could have gotten OS/2 if willing to pay in Escudos, what would be an extra 500 to 1000 euros in today's money, for the additional hardware requirements.
