They always could close the Strait and they eventually did. In this case the US is already energy independent and could absorb the shock.

- leereeves 5mo agoI'm not Jewish or even a fan of Israel, but I think "you‘d have to engage in very motivated reasoning" to not get that this war started a long time ago. The recent hostilities are just one small part of it. Everyone shares some of the blame. And Iran has sponsored many attacks on Israel.
- MrBuddyCasino 5mo agoThe war started recently, the conflict since thousands of years or the late 19th century, depending on how you count. The „both sides are a little naughty“ is appropriate for a kindergarten teacher, not historical analysis.
- leereeves 5mo ago> The „both sides are a little naughty“ is appropriate for a kindergarten teacher, not historical analysis. "A little naughty"?? Iran sponsored the killing of thousands of Israelis (and attempts to kill many more), even if they never had the courage to carry out the attacks themselves.
- MrBuddyCasino 5mo agoIts not about the severity of the deeds, but the avoidance of judgement.
- leereeves 5mo agoWhat judgement did the leaders of Iran face before the recent attacks that you oppose? Unfortunately the sanctions mostly affected the common people, so I think direct attacks on government leaders are preferable.
- MrBuddyCasino 5mo ago> What judgement did the leaders of Iran face before the recent attacks that you oppose? None that I know of.
