It's a bad thing to require restaurants to disclose the number of calories in their menu items? Is it a bad thing to prohibit restaurants from serving heroin? I'm genuinely curious why you choose to draw the line where you do.
- baddox 14y agoYes and yes. I don't like using the threat of violence to solve social problems, kind of like what parents teach children.
- jlarocco 14y agoI draw the line at harming other people. But since it's only hurting the person eating the junk food or using the heroin then who cares? It's their own decision. Why should you get to dictate how other people live their lives? If you want to tell everybody it's a stupid idea and it's terrible, then go for it. I'll even agree with you. But at the end of the day, it's none of your business what other people decide to do.
