It's equally a consequence of not immediately arresting and deporting illegal immigrants the moment the government learns about their presence on US soil.
- alamortsubite 6mo agoThe easy way to accomplish that would be to go after the businesses that employ them. At this point, however, I think it's safe to assume it's not the real objective, and the economy would crash into a ditch if policy was anything but theater.
