He famously doesn’t believe in God, but he believes in Claude?
- altmanaltman 5mo agoAnthropic marketing made Dawkins believe in the supernatural. Is there anything Dario cant do?
- dpark 5mo agoThere is considerable evidence for the existence of Claude.
- jdthedisciple 5mo agoof Claude's consciousness, you mean ... ??
- globular-toast 5mo agoYes.
- Arodex 5mo agoYeah, and clever Hans is able to understand human speech and do calculations. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clever_Hans https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clever_Hans
- kjkjadksj 5mo agoSame for the sun. Why not worship Ra?
- globular-toast 5mo agoI find sun worship far more understandable than old white dude in the sky worship. I mean, the sun literally gives us all life.
- dpark 5mo agoLots of evidence for the Sun. Less so Ra.
- kjkjadksj 5mo agoSeems the scientific evidence has just been proving existence of Ra in a round about way. The idea of Ra being the source of life is actually supported by the scientific evidence. The egyptians only seemed to have mischaracterized the nature of the sun perhaps, but not its effects on the planet or its role in life. Which is interesting.
- dpark 5mo ago> Seems the scientific evidence has just been proving existence of Ra in a round about way. The existence of the sun is pretty well established. The existence of a deity associated with the sun has quite a bit less scientific backing. > The egyptians only seemed to have mischaracterized the nature of the sun perhaps, but not its effects on the planet or its role in life. Which is interesting. I find ancient mythology interesting, but it's not surprising that ancient Egyptians knew that the sun gave life. You don't need to understand the mechanism to see that plants need sunlight to thrive and herbivores eat plants for energy and so on.
- locallost 5mo agoMaybe he also believes that God believes in Claude, that's me, that's meeeee
