I think during the OVH fire, it was the smoke damage that was deemed to have damaged a lot of the servers. Fans and cooling might be affected by all the debris

I think during the OVH fire, it was the smoke damage that was deemed to have damaged a lot of the servers. Fans and cooling might be affected by all the debris. Spinning rust drives often have breathing holes, too.

Absolutely. So many failure modes. Literally even just 'things falling over'.
