I am very concerned that due to github relying on private repositories for revenue; it has been all too eager to comply with this very legally questionable take down request. Do we need an "open" github; that is truly on the side of open source software?
- jlgreco 14y agoPlease no. There are already numerous free options for hosting your own git repos, we don't need another.
- chris_wot 14y agoWhat's so questionable about it?
- mmcnickle 14y agoThe "takedown" notice was issued to the owner of the nvd3 repository, not github. The owner of the owner of the repo decided to comply.
