Claude Pro expired and my $40 in prepaid Extra Usage credits vanished
My Claude Pro subscription lapsed and the prepaid Extra Usage balance was gone with it! Anthropic's docs tie Extra Usage to an active Pro plan but don't spell out what happens to unused credits on cancellation or expiry. No warning or payout option I would have noticed. And there is no refund flow surfaced in the UI too.

- sminchev 6mo agoAnthropic's whole subscription plans, models, performances, and token usage are lately a big issue for everybody. They started so good, now a lot of people are pissed off. You are the next, unfortunately :(

- rkotchamp 5mo agoAlthough using existing sessions seems to give the ai more context but it also degardes the ai performs and consumes more token , i will advice you start new session for any important but you canb let the ai summarise your previous session and drop that as your starting point for the new session

- saidnooneever 5mo agodo they promise to give it back. because is it really pre-paid in the contractual sense? it can be you just 'pay' actually and they can just keep the money. depends on the terms (which i cant be bothered to read ofc like anyone)
