- traderj0e 6mo agoWe know the US and UK propped up shah Pahlavi after forcing his father Reza to cede the throne to him in WW2, and it's likely they also turned against him when he started going his own way in the 70s. If so, that move was to Israel's benefit, not ours. Still, dunno what would've happened otherwise. There's a solid chance Iran would still be the same kind of mess because of tensions with Islamists, which was the theme of the Qajar vs Pahlavi internal conflict. US can't make revolutions happen out of nowhere.
