Unfortunately that's the default state of the world. The comparatively peaceful post WW2 period was the weird thing.

- cramsession 6mo agoWe killed millions in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't think you can call it peaceful, more that "the west" exported its violence outside the borders of Europe and the US.
