I’ve tried it multiple times, but the performance issues on different Macs are too significant to ignore. I appreciate responsive UI, but I also prioritize sufficient battery life.
- iknowstuff 5mo agoInteresting because it tripled my mac’s battery life vs cursor
- xpe 5mo agoWhich Macs, hardware, OS's? What's your baseline comparison?
- Torlan 5mo agoAir M2, MBP 16 2019 on Intel. Created bug report where I can’t even use it on Intel sometimes because of 100% GPU usage. On M2 it’s not so bad, but still see 50% GPU usage where other editors with also smooth scrolling are much less GPU hungry, even PyCharm. Just search “CPU” or “GPU” in their issues on GH, there are a lot of them.
