If you change your browser settings to use a different language, the date input will be localized to that language.
I'd love to have a little more control over this. Perhaps adding:
lang="fr"
to the input element or even the <html> tag, could localize the input?
The date picker runs from 01-01-0001 to 13-9-275760. Is this upper limit due to accuracy?
DateComponents.h
static inline double maximumDate()
{ return 8640000000000000.0; } // 275760-09-13T00:00Z
- ptgloden 14y agoDates in JavaScript can represent 10^8 days from 1/1/1970 in either direction. For more, see: http://www.merlyn.demon.co.uk/js-datex.htm#RoND http://www.merlyn.demon.co.uk/js-datex.htm#RoND

- ansgri 14y agoThen the browser localizes for you what it can and you'll get a very ugly-looking page that is almost all in e.g. French and dates in English. Seen that with some CMS which auto-localize their UI but not content, obviously.
