I find it amusing that our general perception of politicians, and of their real efficacy is such that no one can seem to work out if she's really playing dumb or not. The fact that it seems entirely feasible that she could be, says quite a lot about our expectations. Still, from the point of view of many public service departments, though I'm not sure about this one, a yes minister parrot is not necessarily a bad thing.
