Meta seeks to power data centers with energy beamed from space
- 1vuio0pswjnm7 6mo ago"The company is supporting the development of 10 new gas-fired plants for its biggest AI data center campus, which it is building in rural Louisiana." But that doesn't make for a futuristic headline
- GL26 6mo agoFunny, I saw a company want to make satellites beam power from space to earth (TerraSpark) a few minutes ago (not an ad btw).
- 129x_space 6mo agoInteresting! While space data centers are going up to seek energy, Meta’s goal is to pull energy back down to Earth, which is also a promising approach.
