Great, now I have something to strike fear into the hearts of new devs who ask me about email validation. I'm not sure I'm comfortable using a regex like this in production. Sure, we can write lots of tests and ensure it performs correctly, and the rfc is unlikely to change so once proven solid it won't change... but using this just feels wrong. Like I'm using the dark side of the force.
