- IAmGraydon 6mo agoI wasn't aware of Lysenkoism, so thanks for mentioning it. Fascinating and eerily similar to current events.
- fmajid 6mo agoEven more amazing is the history of Nikolai Vavilov, the geneticist persecuted by Lysenko, who founded seed banks, and the incredibly brave and dedicated staff of the Leningrad seed bank who died in excruciating pain from starvation rather than eat the seeds during the Nazi siege of Leningrad.
