  No, Muon was developed by Moonshot; they've been using it in their Kimi models since Kimi K2 in 2025.

      I was wondering whether someone would bring this up :-). Yes, you're absolutely right, and no, Jordan Keller does not work for Moonshot. He is the original author of the algorithm, so credit goes to him. There's a lot of legwork to go from prototyping to proper development though. The reason I said what I did is because Moonshot has the first research publication on it that I'm aware of. Could definitely have used better language though, my apologies to Jordan!
