Solr's docs also leave a lot to be desired. The wikis are a mess and knowing what is still relevant (e.g. not deprecated) is frequently a crap shoot. It'd be great if their docs had versioning (like the Apache HTTP Server Project), but I suspect that isn't on anyone's roadmap.
