  A reminder that we might die today is, I think, unhelpful. An occasional reminder that we might die soon would perhaps prompt us to ensure we don't leave a mess behind. Trying to do stuff to avoid regrets is stupid, you won't feel regrets. Otherwise we should live without any thought of dying. beardyw 20 April 2026
